I hated SMBC the first time I made it and so, a couple years, many many cakes and batches of frosting later and being much deeper into the cake decorating world, I decided to make a supposedly "less buttery" buttercream (German meringue buttercream) so I could try it again. Same results - its awful, I think I will probably end up eating the rest of my cupcakes frosting less I dislike it so much.
